Florence was much different than Milan and Rome. Florence is very small, everywhere is within walking distance. We did not take a tram, metro, or bus anywhere. That was nice, one less thing to try and figure out. Megan is studying in Florence so we met up with her both nights. These are pictures of us out.
Notice my super cute leather jacket that I bought at the San Lorenzo Market. Leather is a huge trade in Florence.
By far one of the most amazing things I saw was Michaelangelo's David. Its unbelievable. He is probably close to 3 stories tall. He holds the sling shot in his hand. Imagine if they had made Goliath! We weren't aloud to take pictures but I snuck one in anyways. Well worth the risk.
The Florence Duomo is very different than Milan's and is fairly small in comparison. It's outer decoration is strange in color.
View of the Ponte Vecchio from down the river. The Ponte Vecchio is a bridge that once had all black smiths and leather tradesmen but now is all jewelers. It looks as if it will fall apart.

Florence was nice but it was ALL American's. Its nice that its small and easy to navigate but I don't know that I could spend an extended period of time there. Hopefully I will have some more adventure to show you soon. I start classes tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.
