Vienna Day 2: Schonbrunn Palace

On our second day in Vienna we went to Schonbrunn Palace which is a short metro ride from the center of the city.  Inside you get to see the royal apartments.  There is one room which I believe was one of Empress Elizabeth's visiting rooms where Mozart played his first official concert at age 6.  Again, no pictures allowed inside, so stupid.  The outside gardens are beautiful though.  The picture below is the front of the palace, the rest are behind or to the side.

Behind the palace there is a huge hill with a big terrace at the top with a cafe.  To get up there you have to walk on a zig zag path to the top, or take the little trolly thing which we did not do.

From here we went to the hostel to get our bags and ran to our train to Budapest, check my next post about Budapest!
